I do all my Hypnotherapy sessions online using Zoom, Teams or WhatsApp. Some of you have asked me if it’s as effective as face-to-face sessions. It is. But don’t just rely on my words! A study carried out from the University of Manchester in 2019 found that Skype online hypnotherapy sessions were almost as good as those conducted face to face with all clients claiming ‘significant improvement’.

All my clients so far didn’t have much choice as during Covid, face-to-face sessions were neither safe nor practical, also face masks get in a way of seeing facial expressions.

There are other advantages for online hypnotherapy sessions:

  • Whilst you are at home in your home environment you feel safe and can be more relaxed. 
  • Because you are at home in safety and relaxed, you feel less self-conscious.
  • No need to spend time or money on travel, to use public transport or stress about parking.
  • Sessions can be scheduled at a convenient time for you, during your lunch break for example

What do you need to do in order to get the maximum benefit from an online Virtual Hypnosis session?

  • You must have the facility to use either Facetime, Skype or Zoom
  • A good WiFi connection is essential
  • You have to be in a room where you will not get disturbed
  • You need to be sitting comfortably on a chair or a couch
