Headshot of Arina Kurchina

Hypnotherapist – Arina Kurchina, BSc, Dip. CBH.

Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy are my hobby, my passion and my job.

I have successfully worked in IT for over 30 years, supporting, developing, and testing software, and managing various software related projects for a multitude of businesses from Financial Services to NHS.

Different projects, different technologies, different companies but one constant theme – stress. Stress in the workplace is endemic. I’ve seen my colleagues having nervous breakdowns, sobbing uncontrollably, going off sick with stress for weeks at a time, giving up their career in IT altogether because they couldn’t cope. And I couldn’t help because I didn’t know how.

So I completed a course with The UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy which is accredited by the British Psychological Society, the National Council for Hypnotherapy, the General Hypnotherapy Register and the Register for Evidence-Based Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist.

Why did I choose Hypnotherapy?

Interesting question. I found that I get quicker and more longer lasting results using hypnosis. There is a lot of research done now into effectiveness of hypnotherapy, clinicians are using it to treat a whole host of issues from IBS to chronic pain management.

My clients have different problems but they all have one thing in common – they all want to get better, to improve their lives. And I am happy to be able to help them to reach their goals. At the end of each session I provide the session recording to use at home to ensure that the change is embedded in your mind and to prevent relapse.

I use a combination of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Hypnotherapy to help clients deal with life challenges.
